Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 19, 2025

Introduction

StoicPraxia ("StoicPraxia", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you join the waitlist on stoicpraxia.com (the "Service").

By submitting your email, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Email address

Usage / Technical Data

We may automatically collect limited technical information such as:

  • IP address, device/browser type, and basic server logs (for security and troubleshooting)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Add you to the waitlist
  • Send you one email at launch (unless you later opt into additional updates)
  • Provide support if you contact us
  • Maintain site security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues

Legal Bases (EEA/UK Visitors)

If you are in the EEA/UK, we process your data under:

  • Consent (for the launch/waitlist email)
  • Legitimate interests (for basic security and site operations)

GDPR requires controllers to provide their identity and contact details at collection.

Email Provider (Mailchimp)

We use Mailchimp to store waitlist emails and send the launch email. Mailchimp acts as a service provider (processor) and processes data under its Data Processing Addendum (DPA).

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your data only in these cases:

  • Service providers (e.g., Mailchimp, hosting) to operate the Service
  • Legal requirements if required to comply with law or protect rights/safety
  • Business transfer if the project is acquired or reorganized (in that case, we'll update this policy)

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States (for example, by Mailchimp). Mailchimp states it uses mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for European data transfers, via its DPA.

Mailchimp also describes its approach to GDPR and cross-border transfers (including frameworks it may rely on).

Data Retention

We retain waitlist emails only as long as needed for the waitlist purpose. Typically:

  • Until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or
  • Up to 12 months after you join, unless you remain interested and we launch sooner

Technical/security logs are kept for a limited period unless needed to investigate abuse.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (for email communications)
  • Object to certain processing (where applicable)

If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise rights, contact us at: privacy@stoicpraxia.com

California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

At the point of collection, California requires notice of the categories collected, purposes, and whether information is sold/shared.

  • Categories collected: Identifiers (email address)
  • Purpose: Waitlist management and sending the launch email
  • Sold or shared: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Retention: See "Data Retention" above
